Customer Agreement & Policies

Terms and Conditions

General terms under which Roof Works provides residential and commercial roofing services to property owners in Tampa, Florida, and surrounding communities.

Effective Date: October 30, 2026

These Terms and Conditions establish the general terms under which Roof Works provides residential and commercial roofing services to property owners in Tampa, Florida, and surrounding communities.

By requesting an estimate, approving a roofing proposal, or authorizing roofing work, you agree to the applicable terms outlined below, together with the specific conditions included in your written project agreement.

1. Roofing Services

Roof Works provides roofing services for residential and commercial properties throughout its Tampa Bay service area.

Our services include:

  • Roof inspections and assessments.
  • Roof repair and leak repair.
  • Roof replacement and re-roofing.
  • Storm damage roofing services.
  • Emergency roof repair and temporary protection.
  • Asphalt shingle roofing.
  • Metal roofing and standing seam systems.
  • Concrete and tile roofing.
  • Flat and low-slope roofing.
  • TPO, PVC, EPDM, and modified bitumen systems.
  • Roof coatings, waterproofing, and maintenance.

The recommended roofing solution depends on the property's condition, existing roofing system, building requirements, and the customer's project needs.

2. Estimates and Project Proposals

Before beginning a roofing project, Roof Works provides an estimate or proposal outlining the recommended work and its associated costs.

Depending on the project, the proposal may include:

  • Description of the roofing work.
  • Roofing materials and installation specifications.
  • Estimated labor and material costs.
  • Removal and disposal requirements.
  • Additional repairs included in the scope.
  • Project-specific terms and payment arrangements.

Customers should review the proposal carefully and discuss any questions before approving the work.

An estimate is based on the information and property conditions available when it is prepared. If additional conditions are discovered during the project, the required work and any related cost adjustments will be discussed with the customer before proceeding with additional work.

3. Inspections and Roofing Assessments

Roof inspections help determine the condition of the existing roofing system and identify areas that may require repair or replacement.

Our assessment may include visible roofing damage, shingles, flashing, roof penetrations, drainage areas, and other accessible components.

The inspection findings help us recommend work appropriate to the property's condition.

Customers should provide accurate information about previous roof repairs, known leaks, storm damage, and other conditions that may affect the project.

Any additional work identified during construction will be addressed through the applicable project agreement or approved change order.

4. Project Approval and Authorization

Roofing work is scheduled after the customer has reviewed and approved the project proposal and completed the required authorizations.

The approved agreement establishes the scope of work, selected materials, project pricing, payment arrangements, and other applicable conditions.

Any changes requested by the customer after approval should be discussed with Roof Works before implementation.

Changes to materials, project specifications, or additional work may affect the overall price and schedule. Such changes must be documented and approved by the appropriate parties before the additional work proceeds.

5. Roofing Materials and Installation

Roof Works performs roofing work using the materials and installation specifications identified in the approved project agreement.

Material selection may include asphalt shingles, metal panels, concrete or tile products, and commercial roofing systems such as TPO, PVC, EPDM, and modified bitumen.

The appropriate materials and installation method depend on the building design, existing roof structure, intended roofing system, manufacturer requirements, and applicable Florida Building Code provisions.

Where a material substitution becomes necessary because of availability or project requirements, the proposed change will be discussed with the customer and handled through the applicable project approval process.

6. Project Pricing and Additional Work

The project price is established through the approved estimate or written agreement.

The final cost may reflect the agreed roofing scope, materials, labor, removal of existing roofing, disposal, and other identified project requirements.

During roof removal or installation, concealed conditions such as damaged decking, deteriorated wood, or other underlying issues may become visible.

When additional work is necessary, Roof Works will explain the condition, discuss the proposed corrective work, and provide the applicable cost information.

Additional charges must be approved through the agreed change-order process before proceeding, except where an emergency or applicable law requires otherwise.

7. Deposits and Payment Terms

Deposits, progress payments, final balances, and accepted payment methods are established in the individual project agreement.

Customers are responsible for making payments according to the approved payment schedule.

Any payment-related questions or discrepancies should be discussed with Roof Works promptly so they can be addressed in accordance with the project agreement.

The final payment obligation is governed by the agreed project terms and applicable law.

8. Financing Options

Roof Works may provide access to third-party financing options for eligible roofing projects.

Financing may be available for certain roof repairs, replacements, and other qualifying roofing work, depending on the programs currently offered.

Roof Works does not provide loans directly. Financing applications, credit decisions, interest rates, repayment periods, fees, and approval requirements are determined by the participating financing provider.

Customers considering financing should review the complete financing agreement before accepting an offer.

Approval of a financing application does not change the roofing project's approved scope or material specifications unless the parties separately agree to a project change.

9. Storm Damage and Insurance Claims

Roof Works assists property owners with understanding roofing damage caused by wind, storms, heavy rain, and other weather conditions.

Where appropriate, we may provide inspection findings, photographs, and roofing estimates that help document the condition of the roof.

Insurance coverage and claim decisions are made by the customer's insurance company under the applicable policy.

Customers are responsible for communicating with their insurance company regarding coverage, deductibles, claim deadlines, and settlement decisions.

Any roofing work associated with an insurance claim remains subject to the approved project scope and applicable agreement.

10. Scheduling and Project Completion

Roofing project schedules are established based on the approved scope of work, material availability, labor scheduling, and other project requirements.

Roof Works makes reasonable efforts to coordinate project dates and keep customers informed about relevant scheduling changes.

In Tampa and surrounding areas, heavy rain, high winds, tropical storms, and other weather conditions may affect roofing operations.

Other scheduling considerations may include material delivery, permit approvals, inspections, property access, and additional work identified during construction.

Project completion is determined by the work included in the approved agreement and applicable inspection or documentation requirements.

11. Property Access and Jobsite Preparation

Customers are responsible for arranging reasonable access to the property and relevant work areas.

Before construction begins, customers should discuss any property-specific access restrictions, parking arrangements, pets, landscaping concerns, or other conditions that may affect the roofing work.

Roofing installation and removal may involve noise, equipment, material deliveries, and debris handling.

Roof Works will coordinate the work area and construction activities in accordance with the approved project scope and applicable safety requirements.

12. Workmanship and Manufacturer Warranties

Any workmanship warranty provided by Roof Works will be identified in the applicable project documentation.

Manufacturer warranties are subject to the manufacturer's product requirements, registration conditions, limitations, and exclusions.

Warranty coverage, duration, and applicable procedures depend on the specific roofing materials and warranty documentation issued for the project.

Customers should retain their project documents and warranty information for future reference.

Warranty questions or service requests should be directed to Roof Works using the contact information provided below.

13. Maintenance and Roof Care

Regular roof maintenance can help identify developing problems and keep roofing systems in serviceable condition.

Property owners should address visible damage, drainage concerns, damaged flashing, loose roofing materials, and other maintenance issues when identified.

Any maintenance recommendations provided by Roof Works should be considered alongside the roofing system manufacturer's care requirements and the property's specific conditions.

Maintenance work and additional repairs are subject to a separate estimate or project authorization where applicable.

14. Cancellation and Project Changes

Customers who need to postpone, cancel, or change an approved roofing project should contact Roof Works as soon as possible.

The applicable cancellation rights, deadlines, deposits, material costs, and other financial responsibilities will be governed by the signed agreement and applicable Florida law.

Any changes to an approved project must be discussed and documented before the revised work proceeds.

Nothing in this section limits cancellation or other rights provided by applicable consumer protection laws.

15. Permits and Applicable Building Requirements

Roofing projects are performed subject to applicable Florida Building Code requirements, local permitting rules, and relevant inspection requirements.

Permit responsibilities and related project obligations will be established in the applicable project agreement.

Roof Works and the property owner will address the required project documentation and approvals according to their respective responsibilities under the agreement and applicable law.

16. Customer Responsibilities

To help the project proceed smoothly, customers are expected to:

  • Provide accurate property and contact information.
  • Share known roofing problems and relevant repair history.
  • Review and approve the proposed roofing scope.
  • Arrange access to the property and work areas.
  • Discuss material selections and project changes before work proceeds.
  • Follow the agreed payment schedule.
  • Notify Roof Works of concerns relating to the project as soon as reasonably possible.

Clear communication between the property owner and roofing team helps avoid misunderstandings and keeps project expectations aligned.
